Here we are in Florida! It's cold for the area so we took today and went sight seeing. We had lunch at a great Cuban restaurant and had Cuban sandwiches and Mojitos. Beautiful buildings and scenery!

CHRISTMAS WITH FRIENDS !

Christmas is here and what better way to begin the season than sharing it with good friends! Christmas Eve - eve, Barney and Dorothy came for dinner. Christmas lights were burning, Russell was in the kitchen (yea!) and Dorothy and Gina were toasting with a fine red wine (compliments of Dashe winery). We had chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, and hot bread. Dorothy provided the homemade cookies and apple pie. Barney played Santa Clause and delivered some great gifts. A good time was had by all.

Baking Cookies !

Today school was canceled and I've been anxious to bake Christmas cookies. The couple next door have 3 cute kids and T.J. the dad shovels our drive sometimes so I took these next door. Gracie, the little girl, had the cover off and grabbed a cookie before her mom even knew what was happening! She's a doll!

We fixed up a tray to take to Mom's retirement home also. The staff there is really great to Mom. Christmas is a great time of year!

Russ and Gina live on 2 lakes. We love water.
